SCARE for a CURE 2009 presents BLOOD RITUAL—an extreme, interactive, haunted adventure.

Our haunt is built bigger and better each year with the love and dedication of our fiendish team of volunteers of all ages, from all walks of life. This is a fun and unique way to learn new skills as you will have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced haunt crew who are more than willing to show you how...

Actors

Blood Ritual is not your typical haunt. We are a story-driven, horror experience presented across 26 stages. The guests are immersed into an adventure like no other and will find themselves having to run, crawl, duck and climb their way through a maze of demons, abominations, vampires, gore and other unspeakable evils. Their ultimate goal is survival. Ours is to stop them. One thing for sure is that there will be blood!

We are looking for women, men, and children of all types for scripted and unscripted roles with emphasis on improvisation and interactivity. Most of all, we are looking for those with the desire to SCARE the pants off people.

Final roles will be announced by Wednesday, September 30.

* If you participated in the casting call in August, you do not need to audition again. If you auditioned in August and have not heard from us, we may have a bad email address or no address on file for you, so please contact Jarrett at Crippen@austin.rr.com as soon as possible to confirm that you are still interested in a role.

Austin's premiere extreme, interactive haunted adventure is searching for fiendishly talented folks to join our team of experienced FX artists, mad scientists, set designers/builders, prop designers/builders, scenic painters, audio and lighting techs, riggers, techies, stage hands, make-up artists, mask makers, and costume designers. All skill levels welcome. We love to train.

Web Development

SCARE for a CURE is looking for people we can call on for assistance with occasional projects involving our web site. We need people with expertise in CSS, tableless layout, XHTML 1.0 coding, PHP, and some Javascript. Browser compatibility and Section 508 accessibility are important for our new site so familiarity in those areas is also preferred. The pay stinks but this is an opportunity to be crowned in glory and add a new site to your portfolio! If you think you could help with this, email the Web Team at webteam@scareforacure.org.

This is a volunteer based organization but we pay generously in food, drinks, and fun throughout build and run.
